There are several steps of ArtSTask installation process: from getting a demo/release copy up to a full commercial usage.

1. Installation on mobile device

3. Registration
4. Activation
5. Working in Activated mode

1. Installation on mobile device

• Establish a PC/HPC connection (via RS-232 cable for example).
• Run the ArtSTask Setup.exe on PC.
• After installation you can find ArtSoft Task Manager channel on active desktop. All other necessary files are copied to the \Windows directory.
• If you have five channel on the mobile device desktop ArtSTask channel will be turn off by default. To turn on enter to Setting->Display Properties.

2. Working in demo mode

Initially installed ArtSTask works in demo mode. The aim of this mode is the introduction to ArtSTask basic functions. So you can test it and decide if to register ArtSTask or not..

The demo mode has the following important limitations:

• Expiration period is 2 weeks from the first startup. After expiration ArtSTask will not work and will display the dialog box with the message "ArtSTask demo period has expired". To continue ArtSTask usage you should pay, register and activate your copy

If for some reasons you are not satisfied with the product after expiration you should uninstall ArtSTask as it described in "Uninstallation" section.

3. Registration

If you have paid for ArtSTask you should register the copy installed on your device. Fill in the Registration form and send it to ArtSoft (sales@artsoft.ru) or to your local dealer. You can invoke this form by choosing the Registration link on ArtSTask channel:

• Select the Registration link and fill in the mandatory fields of the form. "PIN" field is the code you have received from your dealer.

PIN code format is: nnn .nnn .nnn .nnn . nnn .nnn .nnn . nnn

Here nnn stands for three digits.

Please keep your PIN code safely since for any future technical support the PIN is required. Besides if you change the owner's name of your device or reinstall ArtSTask you have to reregister (reactivate) it with your PIN code.

After the form is completed push "Create form" button. The "ArtSTask registration form.txt" file will be saved to "My Documents" folder on your device and should be sent by e-mail to ArtSoft or your local dealer.

4. Activation

In ArtSoft your PIN code is verified and if OK an Activation code is sent to the e-mail address you specified in your Registration form. After that you should fill in the Activation form, that you can invoke by choosing Activation link on ArtSTask channel.

Select the Activation link and enter the Activation code. If Activation code is entered correctly, ArtSTask will work in normal (Activated) mode.

5. Working in Activated mode

On this step ArtSTask works in full mode without any functional limitations. Note: if you change the owner's name of your HPC then ArtSTask returns to demo mode. In this case you have to reregister and reactivate your ArtSTask copy within two weeks. At the end of this period the ArtSTask will stop working without activation. However, in this state Activation can still be performed.
